    Plaquenil tremors

One of my dominant symptoms is tremor, postural and intention, and they seem to be spreading. I am someone who has mostly motor symptoms ie; muscle stiffness/weakness, twitching/spasms, joint pain in hips, TMJ, chills, hot flashes, dizziness, malaise, internal vibration, pins and needles, FATIGUE etc..... I started progressively seeking help about three years ago. There are lots of other diseases and conditions that can cause a tremor also. This is not a question that anybody can really give you an answer to that would indicate anything.

It will be a while before I can get into to see my doc. For example, I had an MRI two years ago that came back "clear and normal." A few weeks ago, I obtained the record in my own hands. Also, there are times when a disease or condition progresses and it is not something that really passes. I feel like I have either MS or Lupus but my symptoms don't really fit either one completely. I think they are comfy calling it a neuromuscular disease for the here and now. I am in a county system and my level of care for the most part stinks. While there may be a typical time length for a flare or exacerbation, there are variations.

  7. I would think they would be from low blood sugar or possibly a side effect of the plaquenil. Maybe have some peanut butter crackers by your bed so you can grab one when you wake up and eat. It could be the iron pills causing acid in your stomach, which will cause the tremors.

Mechanisms of drug action and resistance Chloroquine resistance is associated with a decrease in the amount of chloroquine that accumulates in the food vacuole, the site of action for chloroquine. The mechanism for this decreased accumulation is controversial. Some studies have shown that the decrease in drug accumulation is due to an increase in drug efflux.
