Plaquenil Side Effects - Arthritis Information Like I have pressure on the top of my head. I nver had this before. Could this be a side effect of the Plaquenil and does it normaly go away after I take it for a while? Answer. That is an unusual side effect for Plaquenil. I would try stopping and restarting it to make sure Plaquenil is at fault.

Hair Loss - General - Sjogren's Syndrome Support Sep 05, 2016 I saw my rheumatologist yesterday, and he said the hair loss could be from taking Plaquenil. But he said it could be from getting older. Well, the hair loss started happening about six months after I began taking the Plaquenil and over a few months I lost 40% of my hair. So it is my opinion that the hair loss cause wasn't old age but the Plaquenil.
